It's a great pleasure for me to see that the Department of Immigration & Passports under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, is happily launching its own Web portal. Now a day's inhabitants of nearest and farthest areas are closely connected by the blessing of Information and Communication Technology. In this age of globalization necessity of a Web portal to this service oriented organization is very essential to provide necessary information smoothly and effectively. Millions of Bangladeshi Nationals and Thousands of Foreign Nationals visit this web portal for getting necessary information and guidance regarding passport and visa related services. They can be immensely benefited through this Web portal. I strongly believe that the web portal will contribute to strengthening the communication & relationship between service seeking people all walks of life and the service providing officials of the Department. I sincerely hope that the nearest and the farthest Passport and visa seekers will make the best use of this web portal coming into direct contact with the concerned officers through using this modern information technology.
